I got a speeding ticket, paid for it, and decided to get it removed off of my record so my insurance wouldn't find out. In my city, in order to do that you need to get an attorney and go to defensive driving class in order for it to be removed of your record. I got an attorney and paid $370 + $50 for traffic school and they sent me a letter from the court saying that my traffic violation was disposed of. But I just got my insurance bill and my rate had gone up by anyway! Do you have any suggestions on how I can lower it back to normal? I truly appreciate your help!

I'm 16. I've had my motorcycle license since December 2009, so that would be a year and about 4 months. (This is Oklahoma, you can get a motorcycle license at 14, but I had a late start.) I don't car about the age, I know most people my age want the newest, coolest thing; personally, I don't care. I'd drive some 1963 rust-bucket so long as it ran. I got a generic report on a piece of paper and he told me to pick up the report tomorrow. I'm pretty sure she's not going to file a claim, most likely because she can't speak english. i honestly don't want to deal with filing a report and i'm planning on just buying a new front bumper and installing it myself, but my question is, is my insurance company going to be contacted and will my rates rise? I purchased my vehicle on 3/13/09 with insurance. I was stopped on 4/7/09 for no license plates and failure to prove financial responsibility i.e. no proof of insurance. Prior to that, the car dealer initially wouldn't even allow me to drive the car off the lot unless it was insured. Also, I hadn't received the insurance card in the mail from State Farm yet. I asked the officer (before he wrote the ticket) if he could identify my vehicle in his system to see that it is in fact insured, at which point he would not oblige. I obviously received the card a few days later and now have the card verifying insurance from 3/13/09 to the present date. Do I have a case here that can rightfully be reversed?

Legal questions regarding my car insurance and getting my car painted?

My girlfriend recently put her car in the shop to get painted. Damage was done to the car and she had to put a $500 deductable to get the car painted and the insurance company paid $1500. she chose a shop to use and the check was made out to her and the shop was under her name on the check. The paint shop said she has to sign the check over for them to do the work. It has now been a month and they still have not completed any of the work. She keeps getting the run around with them. They are saying the have to bring the adjuster backout cause they found a dent they want to get fixed and then they found another dent. Basically we want the car out of there but how can we accomplish this and can we take legal action if needed, and what action can be done? Also on a side note we live in florida. As well she supposedly only has the check stub and no paperwork cause they never gave her any.

Why am I paying more for my insurance because of my credit?

So, I recently paid off all my debt that was racked up from an irresponsible boyfriend. My score is in the high 600's, so pretty mediocre....but I'm relieved that I don't have any debt. The insurance I pay on my car is a higher quote than normal due to my credit and I'm just curious why that would influence the rates. How does having past outstanding debt mean I am a bad or unsafe driver? I am 30, have a college degree, have a good job, don't have anything negative on my driving record. I just don't think that it's fair to be charged more than another person because of spending habits; the two (in my mind) are completely unrelated.
